Expected Results
Mattress sizes may vary slightly between manufacturers due to material and process differences, with an industry standard tolerance of 1 inch. Lunarflex mattress sizes are as follows:
- Twin: 38 inches × 74 inches
- Twin XL: 38 inches × 80 inches
- Full: 53 inches × 74 inches
- Queen: 60 inches × 80 inches
- King: 76 inches × 80 inches
- California King: 72 inches × 84 inches
Adaptation Period
Similar to breaking in new shoes, your body may need time to adjust to a new bed after years of sleeping on an old, uncomfortable one. This adaptation period typically lasts 1–4 weeks as your muscles and joints require time to adjust.
The comfort layer of the mattress will naturally conform to your body, often leaving impressions. These impressions are normal and do not indicate a defect in the mattress.
To prevent excessive body impressions, the mattress should be rotated regularly, regardless of whether it is single-sided or double-sided.
"Body impressions" refer to the natural sinking and conforming of the mattress comfort layer to an individual's body shape, often caused by improper foundation or base support.
"Sagging" is typically caused by inadequate foundation or frame support.
Mattress Durability and Lifespan
The American Sleep Quality Association recommends that a new mattress has an average effective lifespan of 8–10 years. The specific lifespan depends on your personal needs and preferences. A mattress's effective lifespan is determined by comfort preferences, not manufacturing defects. Like a good pair of shoes, a mattress becomes more comfortable over time but will eventually wear out, which is not considered a manufacturing defect.
Mattress Expansion and Odor in Packaging
- Allow your compressed mattress to fully expand for 24–72 hours after removal from packaging.
- Do not store your compressed mattress in the packaging for more than 4 months.
- Released gases may cause you to smell a "chemical odor." This typically occurs after packaging removal and usually dissipates within a few days.
Mattress Care
Do not:
- Allow your mattress or bed frame to become stained, dirty, or unsanitary. This will void the warranty.
- Jump or stand on your mattress. Such misuse may cause unnecessary damage and void the warranty.
- Use dry cleaning agents to clean your mattress. These chemicals can damage mattress components.
- Place your mattress on any uneven surface.
- Smoke in bed or expose your mattress to open flames.
Proper Bed Frame is Crucial
A sturdy bed frame is essential to prevent sagging. To comply with warranty terms, standard full and king-size mattresses must be installed on a bed frame with solid center support. Standard full-size beds require at least one center support leg, and king-size beds require at least two support legs to ensure adequate support.
Ensure all support legs are level.
The frame's crossbeam spacing should not exceed 4 inches, and there must be center support.
Proper Mattress Transportation
Do not fold, bend, or roll the mattress. Damage caused by improper transportation will void the warranty.
Rotate Mattress Regularly
Rotating your mattress can balance the natural compression forces it develops. For information on preventing body impressions, refer to the "Expected Results" section above.
Warranty Document
Mattress Limited Non-Proportional Warranty Terms
Lunarflex warrants that your newly purchased mattress or bed frame (hereinafter "product"), excluding bed handles, bed cover fabric, and corner protectors, is free from material and workmanship defects existing at the time of manufacture (hereinafter "defects") during the applicable warranty period. Lunarflex's standard warranty period is a 10-year limited non-proportional warranty.
This warranty is valid regardless of whether the mattress is purchased with a matching bed frame or separately. However, using an improper bed frame may damage the mattress and void this warranty.
Lunarflex has the final authority to repair or replace products. If a defect is due to material or structural issues, we will repair or replace your product free of charge under this warranty. For components not covered by warranty, such as mattress fabric and handles, we will charge accordingly.
This warranty is valid only for the original purchaser and for residential use only. Commercial and contractual uses are not covered under this warranty.
